This new advert for Road Lodge, a member of the City Lodge Hotel Group, recently tied for first place in Creative Circle’s ‘Ad of the Month’ competition.
The judging panel for February 2014’s advertising competition comprised Jenny Glover (Chairperson Net#Work BBDO), Darren Kilfoil (TJDR), Erin Brooks (Drafttfcb), Marjolein Rossouw (Y&R), Ryan Whitelaw (Ireland Davenport), Este du Plessis (Ogilvy), Sacha Traest (TBWA Hunt Lascaris), Archie Malinga (Joe Public), and Fiona O’Connor (Havasww).
Road Lodge: Bad for surprise parties, great for sleep
This is City Lodge Hotel Group’s second win for one of its adverts. This particular ad works so well because it communicates exactly what Road Lodge is all about: a welcoming overnight haven that is excellent value for money. As the tagline goes:
